Tiny God's Eye Woven Pendants

To make these pendants, grab yourself a box of toothpicks. Then, hot glue your toothpicks together.
Ok. Now, grab yourself some thin, thin thread. I used embroidery thread, leftover silver thread, and baker's twine.
Tie your thread on.
Then, flip your toothpicks over and wrap your thread around the middle a couple of times to cover the center of your God's eye.
And then you can start weaving!
Take your thread and go over stick and around, then over the next stick and around... and keep doing that over and over again. When you run out of string, simply tie on a new piece of string.
When you get to the end tie on a loop and hot glue the knot to make sure it doesn't slip out. Then, use a pair of scissors and trim off excess bits of tooth picks.
And that's it!
Put your pendant on some waxed cord and you're all set!
Hope you have a fun time making these with the kiddos. Because the toothpicks are pretty fragile, I would recommend this craft for older kids.

Happy making, friends!
