How to Make Mini Science Journal Booklets
(from 1 sheet of computer paper!)

The idea for today's post was inspired by this Zoey and Sassafras book. We received a copy to read and LOVED it. The whole series is really fun and does a great job of incorporating scientific ideas and magic into an easy-to-read chapter book.
How to Make a Zoey and Sassafras Mini Science Journal Booklet
1. Print out this science journal printable.
2. Fold it in half lengthwise.
3. Unfold your sheet of paper. Then fold it in half this way.
4. Unfold your paper. Then fold in both sides till they meet the middle fold created in step 3.
5. Unfold the sheet of paper and then fold it in half along the fold created in step 3.
6. Take a pair of scissors and make a cut along the lengthwise fold like so:
7. Open up your sheet of paper. It should look like this:
8. Grab both sides of the paper and push...
Your paper should now bend like this:
9. Keep pushing till your cut opening closes. Then push down to create the pages of your new science journal booklet!
9. Color and write all your observations inside!
