How do you make jewelry with kids?
I received this Children's Jewelry Making Kit.It came with EVERYTHING we needed to make jewelry. I didn't have to add anything else. The box included all the tools, wire, beads, clasps, and extension chains that we needed to make bracelets and necklaces.
The directions were SUPER clear. Again, I have to reiterate that previous to this I had 0 experience making fancy jewelry. If I could do it, you can do it too!
Here's a photo of my very first time making jewelry with my sons and their friends.
I simply followed the directions from the box and watched this video tutorial showing how to add clasps and we were good to go.
Here's a photo of our creations:
Didn't the kids do great?
The jewelry kit contained so many lovely beads, clasps, and wire that we were able to make jewelry for 4 more playdates... and we're planning on having another jewelry making playdate next week too. My sons are hooked!
Pssst- notice the mixed beads in the background? We accidentally dropped the bead container and mixed a lot of the beads. Eeek! The kids didn't mind though. They were just excited to create.
If you're interested in trying jewelry making with your kids and you're not sure where to start (or don't know what to buy, definitely check out Dragonfly Designs!
Jewelry making is a fun playdate, summer camp, or birthday party craft. My sons and their friends absolutely loved the products. (And now they have a new fun hobby too!)
