Felt Heart Button Covers

Valentine's day is coming up this Friday.  Are you still looking for something kind of "Valentines-y" to wear?  Well, why not add temporary heart embellishments to the clothing you already own?  Try making these DIY felt heart button covers.  They're easy to make and add some festive Valentine's spirit.

Materials:

• Felt
• Paper
• Pen
• Scissors
• Fabric Scissors

Directions: 
(This tutorial was inspired by this great tutorial from Craft Journal!)

1.  Cut out a heart from paper.
2.  Use your paper heart as a template to create identical felt hearts.
3.  Cut a vertical slit in each heart to slip over your buttons.  Make sure your slits are big enough to slip over your buttons, but not too big so your felt doesn't rip.

Now you can place your hearts over some buttons....

or over all of them!
