School Supply Hack: DIY Rainbow Marker (in under a minute!)

Can you believe it's August?  Goodness.  My eldest is about to start elementary school in a month and I've been eyeing all the colorful back-to-school supplies.  Since we love making rainbow crafts, I thought it would be fun to make our own DIY Rainbow Marker.  Yup.  And guess what?  It took less than a minute to make.  And then- tada!   We swiped this marker to create a whole spectrum of lovely colors!

How to Make a DIY Rainbow Marker

Ok.  So, let's make our rainbow marker... in less than a minute.  Drum roll please.

Grab a yellow marker.  Then, grab blue and red highlighter markers.  Then, color in your yellow marker as so, making sure to color all the way around the tip.



Now drag your yellow marker over a sheet of paper.  A rainbow appears!

And that's it!  Of course, rainbow making capabilities will NOT be permanent.  But this neat "wow" activity for kids will certainly brighten up everyone's day!
