Multiple creative minds.
What ideas will they come up with?
I know what you're thinking-- What? Two posts back-to-back? This is so strange!
Well, my family liked doing this creative, open-ended art activity so much that I had to post it now before I forgot.
We challenge you to take the....
Creative Circle Challenge!
How do you take the circle challenge?
Well, simply print out the free template from here (which just shows empty circles.)
Then, give a sheet to each family member (or student) and tell them to use the circles as open-ended drawing prompts. Yup. Drawers have complete freedom to transform the circles into whatever their imagination dreams up!
We just sat at the dining room table after dinner and doodled away! Here are some of my 6-year old's ideas:
Once you finish your drawings, share your ideas with others. It's super neat to see how the same drawing prompt leads to so many different ideas!
(It was also especially cool seeing who drew out of the circles, how people worked on the problem from different angles, and how people combined two or more circles into an image.)
I would also LOVE to see what you and your kids come up with! You can find and tag me on Instagram here. :)
Want to make it more challenging?
- Try setting a time limit! (Who can come up with the most ideas in 10 minutes?)
- Don't use colors. Just use pencil!
