So, in celebration of the sunny and warm weather, I recently made this really cute smiley sun popsicle stick weaving. If you enjoy weaving God's Eyes, you'll really enjoy this craft too!

Let's Weave some Suns!
Step 1: Grab 3 popsicle sticks. (Or if you're like me and out of popsicle sticks, grab some coffee stirrers and cut those babies in half.)Step 2: Paint the popsicle sticks orange. (We LOVE these Kwik Stix Solid Tempera Paints- They glide on like glue sticks and the color dries so, so fast.)
Step 3: Hot glue your sticks together in a snowflake arrangement.
Step 4: Tie on a strand of yarn. Then, wrap it around all your sticks to cover the middle of your sun.
Step 5: Once your middle is wrapped, continue wrapping as if you were wrapping a God's Eye. (If you're not sure what to do, I include more detailed instructions for another similar project here.)
Step 6: To change colors, simply tie on another piece of colored yarn and continue.
Step 7: Once you're done wrapping, tie your yarn around your stick. Then, hot glue on a felt mouth and googly eyes.
Isn't the result adorable?
And if you liked this project, you'll probably enjoy weaving adorable baby turtles too.
Happy making, friends!
