Positive and Negative Space Suns and Moons

Let's Make Some Positive and Negative Space Art!
I traced circles onto pieces of colorful paper. Then, I cut them in half.My son and I each got a half. Then, we fiddled around with our sun faces by cutting out some rays....
And half a smile, half a nose, and half a pair of sunglasses....
Here's my attempt:
And here's my son's attempt:
Then, we glued our pieces onto a piece of contrasting paper with a glue stick.
That's it! To make the moon-face, I just didn't cut out rays.
