(And even though these were made for friends, this would be a great gift to make for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day too!)

Materials Needed:
- Yarn (I got a bunch of lovely cheap rainbow at Michaels the other day.)
- Various Beads (We absolutely love using letter beads!)
- Skewer
- Masking Tape
- Aluminum Foil
- Baking Pan
- Sculpey Clay
- Scissors
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter or playdough cutter
Let's Make Best Friends Necklaces:
- Open your Sculpey clay and work it with your fingers until it's malleable.
- Mix desirable colors to get a lovely swirled effect.
- Roll and flatten your clay.
- Cut out a heart shape.
- Use a pair of scissors to cut the heart apart in a zig-zag manner.
- Use a skewer to push holes into each piece.
- Place a piece of aluminum foil over a baking dish.
- Bake your heart pieces according to the directions on the package.
- Once your pendants cool down, string them onto a piece of colored yarn. (Roll masking tape onto the ends of your yarn to help string on beads.)
- String on extra bling bling beads.
- Tie your necklace on and wear it with pride
Aren't they so, so pretty?
And if you have a group of three, you can just cut your heart into thirds.
I really, really hope you have fun making these necklaces with the kiddos. They're such a fun gift to make for friends.
