Well, we've had a couple of tough nights these past weeks. Recently I've found that simple drawing activities can put the kids (and me) in better moods. Here's one easy art activity that we recently tried and enjoyed. Can you draw a face using just one line?
One Line Face Drawing Challenge
My eldest and I challenged each other to draw faces using just one line. Basically, we couldn't pick up our markers until we completed a face. Here are some of my results:
They're pretty fun, right? My eldest also tried drawing whole stick figures using just one line.
The faces are very reminiscent of one of my favorite IG artists: Miriam Tribe. (She makes beautiful one-line drawings, so definitely check her feed out for inspiration!)
I liked my faces so much that I colored them in with colored pencils.
I'm always surprised by the way that art activities (even a simple one like this) can do to change moods. Hope you and your kids enjoy this activity too!
