Well, have you ever tried making your own folding surprise card? This flower card is one crafty way to thank teachers for helping your kids to grow!
"Thanks for helping me to grow" Folding Surprise Cards
Let's get crafting!
Step 1:
Cut a piece of computer paper in half. (You can also just make a card from one sheet of paper, but then it will be very large.)
Step 2:
Fold a piece of paper in half.
Step 3:
Take the top flap and fold it in half upwards. (Valley fold)
Step 4:
Draw your flower(s) and pot(s) on the card. Write "Thank you" on the top half of the card above the fold.
Also, somehow mark where the fold of your paper is on the bottom half (either with the tips of leaves or with lines drawn on the stem.) You'll need this to help you with the next step!
Step 5:
Open up your card. Connect your stem, add more leaves, and add the rest of the message "for helping me/us to grow! Love, _____."
Note: To make sure that you cannot see hints of what's to come inside, make sure your message and leaves only span from the top fold all the way to where you noted the bottom portion of the fold in Step 4. (It's the area between my 2 fingers!)
Anything drawn above or below this area will be shown when the card is closed.
Color and then you have your very own folding surprise card!
