To get fully into the Halloween spirit, I'm starting off with these super cute and easy to make witch and pumpkin paper chains! They're perfect to make at home with the kids, or with a larger group of kids too! Each child can decorate their very own pumpkin and witch to create a lovely paper chain.
Kid-friendly Halloween Paper Chains
Today's craft was inspired by this adorable Halloween paper chain that I saw on Easy Peasy Fun. It had a black cat, monster, and pumpkin all in one paper chain. Super cute and I fell in love. Definitely check Andreja's site out because she has A ZILLION cute + easy crafts for kids!
Materials Needed to Make these Paper Chains:
- Scissors
- Construction Paper (Orange, Black, Green, Yellow)
- Glue stick
- Marker (I always use Shapies because they're so dark, but you can use whatever kind you like!)
- Stapler
Let's Make some Adorable Halloween Paper Chains:
1. Cut your strips of paper, stems, and triangle hats.
I folded a sheet of construction paper into 8 sections and just cut those out to create uniformly sized strips of paper.
To create the pumpkin chain, I cut out these strips of paper and stems.
To create the witch paper chains, I cut out these strips of paper + hats.
2. Glue and decorate!
The glue stick worked perfectly because it dried so quickly.
3. Staple your chain together, alternating pumpkins/witches with plain rings.
