We LOVE playing Minecraft and making Minecraft crafts! Last week, we folded these easy origami Minecraft origami pigs and origami creepers. This week, we're combining our love of gaming with our love for a good Perler bead craft. Yup! Today we're making our very own Minecraft Perler Bead Creepers!
3D Perler Bead Minecraft Creepers
Have you ever made 3D Perler bead crafts before?
We've made cute 3D Perler bead sheep and 3D Pokemon characters. You simply set up the beads in the patterns that I show below, iron them, and then carefully pop them together to create 3-dimensional creations.
Three words of caution!
- 3D creations are more temperamental than flat creations because you have to snap your creations together.
- Once you pop the Perler bead pieces together, it's hard to take them apart without breaking your creation. (We learned this the hard way.)
- Ironing is crucial! You have to make sure the pieces are sufficiently stuck together, but not ironed too much that they become deformed and won't fit together. (Again, we learned this the hard way.)
How to Make 3D Perler Bead Minecraft Creepers:
Step 1: Place your beads on your board in the 6 arrangments below and iron.
Notes:
- We purposely made two pieces one same shade of green to help explain how to put the pieces together. You don't have to, but just keep in mind what those the pieces look like.
- Not quite sure how to create the two pieces that are one shade of green? Check out Step 3. It shows how the 2 identical pieces should fit and look. (They are identical. I just tilted one to the side when photographing it. Apologies for the confusion!!)
Step 2: Put all the multi-colored pieces together first by snapping them together like this...
They should come together like this!
Step 3: Snap in the two identical side pieces. (Ours are all the same color green to make the directions clearer.)
