How to fold an Easy Origami Witch for Halloween!
Materials Needed:
- Origami Paper
- Markers (We like Permanent markers because they won't smear.)
- Clear Tape
- Scissors
First, fold an origami girl:
You can find directions for folding an origami paper doll here.
Then, fold an easy witch's hat:
I found directions for folding a hat on this site and modified them slightly. If you'd rather watch a video of a similar witch's hat being made, check out this video for how to fold a witch's hat from Red Ted Art.
Step 1: Fold your paper in half two times. Unfold to reveal 4 smaller squares.
Step 2: Cut along your folds to create 4 smaller squares. You'll just use one small square to make a witch's hat.
Step 3: Fold along the diagonal and then unfold.
Step 4: Fold both sides into the middle to create this shape.
Step 5: Unfold!
Step 6: Fold up the bottom corner like so.
Step 7: Refold both sides into the middle.
Step 8: Fold the bottom up.
And flip it over for a hat!
Alternatively, you could also fold the bottom up this way to put the lip in front.
Tape your hat to your origami witch and you're all set!
