My two boys simply adore the game and we've made tons of Minecraft crafts this past year. When my eldest made a cute 3D paper Steve from Paper Pixelcraft my younger son wanted a paper doll too, but there were just too many parts for him to cut out and fold. So I ended up simplifying the doll design and leaving it blank so that he could draw in his own details. Since both boys enjoyed making these simpler Minecraft paper dolls, I figured I'd share the designs here too.

Easy and Lovely Paper Strip Birds

Lately, I've been thinking of that Emily Dickinson quote, "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all." 

These past weeks, I've felt moments of sadness, cabin fever, fear, joy, frustration, and also hope. (Oftentimes, all in the same day!) One of the good things about staying home is that the boys and I get a chance to craft and play more. It's nice having more relaxed schedules.
